(DN)LTTE cadres trapped inside the remaining part of the No Fire Zone have ordered people to burn all fishing boats in Vellamullivaikkal to prevent the remaining civilians trapped inside the No Fire Zone fleeing the area, Military Spokesman Brigadier Udaya Nanayakkara said yesterday.
The spokesman said the LTTE had taken this decision as civilians trapped inside the No Fire Zone are trying to flee the area in boats. Full text
