Weather gods too smile on Lanka

The country is finally experiencing the South West monsoon that everyone has been hoping for.
“The monsoon spread over the island starting last Friday,” Meteorology Department Director General G.B. Samarasinghe said. “Due to a lack of adequate rainfall during the North-East Monsoon the country has been experiencing a drought with most of the reservoirs recording low levels of water. Full text
