London Times’ charge: Sri Lanka rejects shelling killed more than 20,000 Tamil civilians

(TI)NEW DELHI, May 29: Sri Lanka has rejected a charge made by a London newspaper today that shelling by its troops during the last three weeks of the war has killed more than 20,000 Tamil civilians.

The bloody civil war ended on May 18 with the killing of LTTE chief Velupillai Prabhakaran. Full text
