Army hands over 7 LTTE bodies to ICRC - Vavuniya

Security forces have handed over seven bodies of LTTE terrorists killed in recent battles to the ICRC officials in Vavuniya yesterday, 10 November.

The representatives of ICRC have taken those LTTE bodies to un-liberated areas crossing the entry/exit point in Omanthai around 1.30PM yesterday, Army sources said.

Counter terrorist offensive continues in Wanni

In the eastern Kilinochchi battlefront, heavy fighting have been reported between troops and LTTE terrorists as military advances continued in north of Akkarayankulam. Troops of 57 Division operating in the front launched effective offensive thrust against terrorists dominating further LTTE areas.

Troops have launched an attack observing a group of LTTE terrorists in north of Akkarayankulam inflicting heavy damages to the enemy during day hours yesterday, 10 November. In a subsequent search operation conducted in the area, troops have found a body of slain LTTE cadre along with a T-56 riffle.
